The Lord Jesus has already returned and expressed the truth to save mankind, which has fulfilled the Bible prophecy: "For as the lightning comes out of the east, and shines even to the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." (Mat 24:27)

Many Christians feel confused: God is love and He is almighty, so why does He allow us to suffer? Could it be that He has abandoned us? I followed my parents in their belief in the Lord ever since I was small, and now old age is staring me in the face. Although I’ve believed in the Lord all my life, the problem of how to rid myself of sin and get into the kingdom of heaven had been an unsolvable riddle that caused me constant consternation, leaving me feeling lost and pained. I wished so much to be able to figure out during my lifetime how to rid myself of sin and get into the kingdom of heaven so that when my time came I would be able to face death with the knowledge that my life was complete, and I could at last meet the Lord with peace in my heart. What’s more, believing that there is a God is not the same as truly believing in God; rather, it is a kind of simple faith with strong religious overtones. True faith in God means the following: On the basis of the belief that God holds sovereignty over all things, one experiences His words and His work, purges one’s corrupt disposition, satisfies the will of God, and comes to know God. Only a journey of this kind may be called “faith in God.”

The greatest wish of every one of us who believes in the Lord is to enter the heavenly kingdom and gain everlasting life. The Bible says, “He that believes on the Son has everlasting life: and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God stays on him” (John 3:36). Many people think that believing in the Son means believing in the Lord Jesus Christ, and that Jesus’ way is the way of everlasting life. So, when someone testifies to them that only Christ of the last days can bestow everlasting life upon man, they are unable to accept it. They think they can gain everlasting life by believing in the Lord Jesus, so what need is there to accept the words and work of Christ of the last days? To understand this issue, we must first understand what exactly “He that believes on the Son has everlasting life” means and how we really can gain everlasting life. During the last days, God once more became flesh, and with this incarnation He ended the Age of Grace and ushered in the Age of Kingdom.
